About the role

GCG is currently on the hunt for a General Manager of Human Resources (GM HR) to join our Headquarters, reporting directly to the CEO. 

The GM HR role provides a unique opportunity for the right individual to be part of the leadership team of an award-winning organisation, to own the design and execution of the function’s strategy, lead a team of Associates, while developing a great professional network across consulting firms, universities, corporates and not-for-profits.

The GM HR holds the responsibility of managing the HR Associates at the HQ level in managing HQ Recruitment and cyclical coordination of HR activities within Branches. Further, the GM HR is expected to provide timely advice/guidance to the leadership teams at GCG’s University branches where necessary and engage in the management of people/HR related processes and procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ongoing development and management of the GCG People Strategy in line with our 5 year plan
  • Manage HQ talent acquisition and onboarding processes 
  • Ongoing development and maintenance of people-related policies and guidelines
  • Contribute from a HR perspective to broader organisational strategy, key decisions and initiatives
  • Check in with Branch Heads of HR to provide any necessary guidance or support

This role is ideal for a creative and proactive professional with 1-3 years of HR or Talent Acquisition tenure looking to broaden their experience, or a more experienced HR professional, looking for an opportunity to contribute to an NFP in a meaningful way.
