About the Role
Join our team of life changers!!! Life Changing Experiences Foundation is a not for profit organization dedicated to changing the lives of disadvantaged teenage girls. We are looking for someone who is willing to volunteer a few hours (ideally 4+ hours and preferably on a Tuesday) every week in our Surry Hills office. There is the option to work remotely if required. This role would support our CEO with writing grants. It would entail researching existing websites which list grants and scoping our eligibility to apply for them. This is a great opportunity for a stay-at-home mum who is looking to ‘reboot’ her CV, a University student looking for practical experience to complement her studies (eg psychology, social welfare or health sciences) or a freelance journalist who wants to contribute some time to a worthy cause. We have existing grant-writing resources and and the role will be supported by our team of volunteers, staff and interns. Our office is small, but filled with colour, energy & laughter. Our team of 6 dedicated and inspiring women (some part-time, some volunteers) are passionate about our program and making a difference. Our year-long mentoring and education program fosters resilience, confidence and critical life skills for underprivileged girls. Our 1:1 mentoring program gives teenage girls a positive female role model and inspires them to do great things in the future. We are not affiliated with any religion or religious institution. We are grateful for the long-term corporate sponsorship of Nivea and our many pro-bono affiliates who make our program possible. Applications (covering letter and brief resume) or queries can be forwarded to firstname.lastname@example.org
