About the Role
Lively is an innovative social enterprise that addresses two significant social challenges; youth unemployment and social isolation amongst older people.
We train and employ young jobseekers aged 18-25 to spend meaningful time with older people who are experiencing or at risk of isolation, helping them learn how to use technology as a tool for connection. Through the delivery of this service, we facilitate mutually beneficial relationships between young and older people, and foster greater connection and understanding across the generations.
Lively is in an early growth stage, and has been operational for just over 12 months. To help us grow to the next level and increase our impact, we require an injection of core funding. We are therefore seeking a proactive, experienced and results-driven individual to identify funding opportunities and prepare funding submissions. We’re looking for a team member who believes deeply in what we do, knows how to sell a strong and compelling vision, and is excited about attracting the resources we need to grow!
• Search for and identify grants and funding opportunities
• Compile a live database of potential funding opportunities and benefactors, and update regularly
• Write and submit funding submissions in close consultation with the CEO
• 6-8 hours per week, with additional possible hours when preparing major applications
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking an individual with demonstrated experience in grant writing, grant management, donor engagement or marketing and communications. High-level written communication skills are required for the position, as well as the ability to construct compelling pitches and presentations. Personal connections to donor networks will be highly regarded.
