About the role

Bicycles for Humanity is a voluntary, not-for- profit organisation that collects disused bicycles and ships them to communities in need. The bicycles change lives forever by improving basic mobility for access to health care and education, and increasing economic productivity. The container then becomes a pre-built bicycle workshop providing employment opportunities.

We have a new opportunity with Bicycles for Humanity Melbourne for a motivated and creative person with experience in proposal/grant writing with a not-for-profit or social change organisation.

Key responsibilities:
• Research grant opportunities
• Develop and write grant proposals to trusts, foundations, government and other grant-making organizations
• Evaluation, analysis and reporting
• Maintain a calendar of submissions and reporting deadlines

This is a virtual volunteering opportunity. You can contribute around other commitments and location is flexible; you can work online from wherever you are.

Bicycles for Humanity encourages people from different backgrounds to apply, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from different cultural backgrounds and people with disabilities.
