About the Role
INCH Housing Inc (INCH) is a non-profit association with charitable status and has been providing social and community housing since September 1991. Its core business is the provision and management of transitional and long term rental housing in the inner northern suburbs of metropolitan Brisbane to people on low incomes. INCH manages 155+ properties, across 5 different housing service lines.
INCH is governed by a volunteer Board (up to 8 members) who are drawn from a diverse range of professions to ensure the Board comprises the necessary skills, experience and drive to best support INCH in delivering transitional and Long term housing to people on low incomes. INCH’s workforce consists of 8 paid staff (2 full time and 6 part time workers), 3 volunteers and 8 University students.
INCH’s membership averages between 30-35 members annually, a large majority of whom are current or ex-tenants of properties managed by INCH. Other members are Board members, staff, community service providers, volunteers and general community members.

The Role of the Fundraising Board Member
The INCH Board is seeking a Board member who has demonstrated experience in planning and organizing fundraising activities and who has participated at a high level in the governance of a charity association.
This Board member will be responsible for overseeing INCH’s Strategic goals as they relate to fundraising and will be expected to participate in meetings of INCH’s Fundraising Sub-Committee which includes Board members and staff.
