IT Support – Adjustments to our website and Migration to G-Suite

The Boîte is Victoria’s iconic multicultural music organisation. It supports excellent artists from diverse cultural communities, promotes cultural understanding through the dynamic presentation of unique cultural experiences and nurtures creativity, collaboration, access to and active participation in the arts. Through the years, as the world’s political, economic and social forces have shaped the patterns of migration to Australia, The Boîte’s presence has consistently embraced new arrivals and supported them to find a safe and welcoming home. At the same time, it has helped introduce the arriving communities to their new landscape and neighbours. Belonging, respect, friendship, collaboration, harmony; all these have ensued from The Boite’s commitment to create spaces that showcase diversity. And thus it has helped turn the unfamiliar into familiar, and demonstrated the respect Australian society is capable of.

We are seeking an enthusiastic volunteer to help us with two small tasks that would provide significant support to our activities:

Migration to G-Mail
We are migrating our work emails to G-Mail… and it’s a bit more complicated than we thought it was going to be… so we can’t do it ourselves. We already have a G-Suite for Not-For-Profits account, our domain is validated and we need help setting up the routing and migrating all of our email archives.

Adjustments to our website
Our website – boite.com.au – is in need of some adjustments. A few little bits and pieces that are either outdated or not working properly. It’s not a gargantuan job… especially if you know what you are doing.

We think this can be accomplished over a handful hours, perhaps working half-a-day per week for a month or two… but we would be better off meeting and showing you the work so you can tell us how long you think it will take.
