Kids Support Committee Members

At Variety we believe all Aussie kids deserve a fair go! We help kids aged 0-18 years living with a disability, chronic illness or facing financial hardship by providing grants, services, programs, scholarships and kids events.

We have a unique and special opportunity for experienced and qualified people working in Health (Medical/Clinical), Education, Allied Health (OT’s, Physios etc.) and the Community Sector (NDIS, Social Worker, FaCS) to be part of our Kids Support Committees.

We are currently recruiting volunteers with significant experience and appropriate qualifications from these areas to sit across both of the following Committees:

1. Kids Support Governance Committee – the objective of this Committee is to assist the Board in carrying out its duties by providing governance and oversight of mission development and delivery both directly and through sub-committees. The Committee are charged with specific grant-making to community organisations and hospitals which will allow Variety to make a positive timely difference to the widest number of children. This Committee will meet at a minimum every two months.

2. Grants Sub Committee – the objective of this Committee is to assist the Kids Support Governance Committee in ensuring that Variety’s mission to empower children 0-18 years in NSW/ACT living with a disability, chronic illness or facing financial hardship is fulfilled. The Committee are charged with grant-making to individuals, community organisations and hospitals which will allow Variety to make a positive timely difference to the widest number of children. This Committee will meet each month (Feb-Dec)
