About the Role

Do you want to make a difference to help women and children in domestic violence? We are looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to assist with our new volunteer team. Emerge Women and Children’s Support Network supports women and children who have experienced domestic violence, enabling them to break the cycle of violence and rebuild their lives.

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with our Language Program. You must enjoy teaching both women and children basic English. The ideal volunteer will have a command of the English language, strong interpersonal skills and preferably experience working with people from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Volunteer hours may be spent talking or sharing in a simple leisure activity together. Your regular visits can make a real and positive difference in the life of these women and children – reducing social isolation and improving their well-being and helping them build confidence to be independent.

Will require a Working with Children Check & National Police Check
