About the Role
The UNSW Human Research Ethics Committee is looking for four lay members (two male and two female). Lay members are people who have no affiliation with UNSW and are not currently involved in medical, scientific or legal work, and who are preferably from the local community. We are looking for people with a variety of life experience, not specific skills or research background.
If you have an interest in research involving human participants, and the time to take part in the work of the Committee, we have the opportunity for you to be involved in this important work.
Information about the role
UNSW currently has two Human Ethics Research Ethics Committees, each HREC meets monthly at the Kensington campus (either the 1st or 3rd Tuesday of the month). Meetings commence at 1:00pm and generally finish around 5:00pm. Members are paid a sitting fee for each meeting attended.
Expression of interest
