Position Vacant: Independent Advocacy SA Inc, Volunteer Position
We are a values driven organisation promoting valued lives for people with an intellectual disability. We are seeking persons to join our Management Committee to support the work of our organisation. www.independentadvocacysa.org.au
Participation on our Management Committee:
- supports advocacy efforts in response to extreme vulnerability and complexity on behalf of vulnerable individuals with intellectual disability who are most at risk of ongoing abuse, discrimination, harm and neglect
- offers opportunity to learn about the lived lives of vulnerable individuals with intellectual disability
- builds a greater understanding of social advocacy and the efforts we undertake
- is a head and heart journey
- will challenge your thoughts and feelings
- provides opportunity to engage in training and development including Social Role Valorization (SRV) and governance training
- supports the organsiation in meeting its Incorporation and funding obligations
