Marketing and Fundraising Assistant

Do you live and breath all things Social and have an understanding of communication for social change and fundraising? Are you driven and motivated to create content and help share the benefits of our programs with the world? We are on the lookout for someone who can offer 2-3 days per week to contribute to our cause.

Longboard Family Inc. is a small newly established non profit organisation based in Brisbane. Our programs combine the opportunity to learn longboarding and acquire important life skills, such as creative thinking, problem solving, critical thinking and effective communication. To ensure our programs benefit those in need of skill development or support we focus on young people at risk and/or young people experiencing ill mental health. We do this in collaboration with our partners at BABI Youth & Family Service, and headspace in Woolloongabba, Warwick and Southport. Additionally, we run extensive school holiday programs through Brisbane City Council’s Active and Healthy Program as well as Logan City Council’s KRANK School Holiday Program and Ipswich City Council’s Active Breaks Program. During school terms we promote mental wellbeing at schools with our Longboarding and Mindfulness programs for young people.

This volunteer position would be specifically relevant for a recent graduate or someone looking to gain work experience in the field of marketing and/or the not for profit sector.

Please be advised this is an unpaid and voluntary position, however, we may be able to offer paid employment or contract work later on.
