Marketing, Fundraising, & Events officer

Are you compassionate, kind, creative, and passionate about helping those in need? As a charity organisation fully run by volunteers, we are looking for you to join our Marketing, Fundraising, and events team.

The Fundraising, Marketing, and Events team raises awareness about HER Africa and the work we do by identifying and creating fundraising opportunities and through compelling storytelling.

Available positions are:
Fundraising and Events Lead
Engagement Officer – Events
Digital Officer- (Must know how to edit photos/videos)

Key responsibilities**
-Online Events
-Develop fundraising and marketing strategies and communications plan for HER Africa
-Establish HER Africa’s organisational brand to ensure that the communities we work with are accurately represented using best practices in international development and/or humanitarian aid
Identify and build networks with potential donors and partners to expand the organisation’s potential to deliver more programs in partner communities
-Apply for grants and organise fundraising events
-Content creation for social media accounts

**Skills, experience, and attributes**
-Knowledge of fundraising and marketing strategies, previous experience in international development, humanitarian aid, or not-for-profit sector is desired
-Experience in working in the grassroots and/or volunteer sector is desired
-Ability to approach potential funders and donors
-Stakeholder relationship building and management
-Experience in writing grant proposals
-Experience in event management and initiating marketing strategies/campaigns
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Knowledge in photo and video edit
-Exceptional storytelling skills
-Ability to work independently and in a team environment (remotely)
-Comfortable working with web-based collaborative tools like Google Suite
