About the role
Gifts for Manus and Nauru supports our asylum seeker and refugee friends at Manus and Nauru through the provision of mobile phone credit and smart phones, providing material aid and sending parcels, with access to necessary medical and dental support when Australia fails to care for their medical needs, and through provision of professional trauma counselling through our Therapy4Refugees program.
Gifts for Manus and Nauru is in need of a Mobile phone coordinator.
It will be your job to:
– accept/source donations of mobile phones
– take requests or referrals from people at Manus and Nauru needing a mobile phone
– arrange transport/postage to recipients of donated phones
– may need to be able to make calls to mobile phone retailers in PNG and Nauru to arrange purchase of phones if we have a donation for that.
Phone calls can be reimbursed.
