About the role

iDareU supports and helps people with disabilities and their families navigate all things to do with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We provide NDIS support coordination, advocacy, training and practical guidance.

As a newly established part-time role requiring 10 hours per week at iDareU, the Operations Manager will work as part of a small team within a busy not for profit that supports people with a disability and their carers to understand and access the NDIS. We also provide Support Coordination, training and advocacy.

The role provides overall guidance and support to the iDareU team to prioritise and perform daily operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Leading the day-to-day delivery of services such as the email inbox and calendar/meeting invites
– Administer expense processing, invoicing and banking
– Help build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
– Assist with Board and meeting preparation
– Effectively manage activities and lead staff in line with the operational plan
– Oversee and manage all client enquiries within the established service level
– Attendance at meetings, responsibility for notes, minutes and records management
– Manage contact with clients for scheduled sessions as well as follow up meetings
– General administration and office duties

To be successful, you will have:
– Previous experience in a similar role with demonstrable results
– Strong organisational skills and the ability to adjust to suit operational requirements
– Demonstrated the ability to work independently and within a team environment
– Strong writing skills including experience in drafting applications, letters, grants, reports or other correspondence
– Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
– Proficiency in basic financial management processes including payroll
– Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
– Previous experience with Xero and Mailchimp [Desirable]
– An understanding of the NDIS and how it works – or have experience living or working in the disability sector
