About the role
The Diamond Valley Community Services Diamond Creek Op Shop is seeking friendly, reliable people to join the Op Shop Worker teams to provide excellent customer service and help raise funds to support the local community.
The DVCS Diamond Creek Op Shop operates:
• To raise funds to operate other community services
• To promote Volunteering in the local community
• To actively encourage product recycling
• To assist people in need
Op Shop Worker duties include:
•Customer relations – Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner
•Cash handling – Accurately account for and record any sales and takings for the day
•Sorting – Price goods as required. Unpack and store goods in appropriate places. Stocking shelves
•Answering telephone
•Maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment at all times. E.g. Vacuuming, cleaning bathroom etc.
•Assist with efficient day to day running of the shop
•Support other workers with tasks as required
Supervisors are rostered on every shift and an extensive induction is provided.
