About the position
Since 2004, the Balibo Community Learning Centre (Balibo CLC) has delivered skills training increasing access to employment opportunities for the Balibo community. The Centre has delivered programs to develop English proficiency, computer, mechanical and basic hospitality skills training. CLC also provides consultation, support and training for rural women’s cooperatives. The organisation also delivers social welfare initiatives, including distribution of medical supplies, school supplies, dental services and oral health education programs.
Balibo CLC urgently requires a skilled and devoted individual to continue building and consolidating skills. The ideal volunteer will be a motivated, resourceful, committed and strategic individual with qualifications in social sciences, community development, project management or tourism. Experience in managing projects, working in the community or not-for-profit sector and working with youth or women is desirable. Experience in organisational management or administration is required.
