About the role

Fitted for Work is a not-for-profit organisation based in Melbourne with services also operating in Parramatta, NSW and reaching women Australia-wide in our new Virtual Services program. This volunteer role sits in the Virtual Services team located in the Melbourne CBD.

Our mission is to help women experiencing disadvantage get work and keep it. We do this by providing intensive interview preparation skills, resume support, personal outfitting services and through our unique range of WomanKind and Mentoring job readiness programs. 

Through mutual respect, compassion, integrity and trust, our dedicated staff and trained volunteers help vulnerable women gain the self-esteem and confidence to achieve their goal of finding sustainable employment and achieving financial independence.

Outfitting Volunteers are responsible for:

  • Assisting clients to choose a selection of interview and workplace clothing via an online environment
  • Providing guidance and motivation to those seeking employment
  • Accurate recording of client and clothing notes
