About the Role
The Box Hill Corps and Salvo Cafe are investigating the potential of a Social Enterprise initiative focused on development of skills and confidence of people in the community with a disability. The program would be conducted in partnership with other local businesses and organisations. This role will support the Corps Officer and Café Manager with research and documentation as to the feasibility of establishing the Social Enterprise.
Currently the Salvo Café operates as part of the Corps and its programs but is seeing an opportunity to further contribute to the impact on community by structuring a specific program based around the Café operations. The Corps and Café will move to a new site in the next couple of years which presents a unique opportunity to design this Social Enterprise ahead of this.
This is an ideal opportunity to use skills and experience to benefit a very worthy cause. Your reward will be the satisfaction you have contributed to creating positive opportunities for people in your community. Basic activities the role will be involved in are identifying potential stakeholders and partners, researching existing models, basic analysis of options and creating a draft report.
This role requires someone with good communication skills, friendly phone manner and a high level of competency in administrative functions. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for helping others and wants to develop their skills. This is a project based role but there will be an opportunity for an ongoing volunteer role dependent on the outcome of this research phase.
We look forward to hearing from you!
