About the role

As a psychiatrist working in a small team, you will provide high quality health care in the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre Health Program.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and management of the consequences of trauma, torture and forced displacement.
  • Providing ongoing clinical services for people seeking asylum and provide reports to support clients’ protection or humanitarian claims.

What we’re looking for

  • Eligibility for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification
  • Professional Indemnity

Volunteer shifts times and lengths are flexible upon agreement. Our services operatate from Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm and Saturday morning. Some work can be performed remotely/outside of business
hours.
