About the Role
Red Nose (formally SIDS and Kids) are celebrating our 30th year of Red Nose Day and we are looking for as many volunteers as possible to help us hit the streets of the Melbourne CBD and sell our Red Nose Day merchandise. This campaign is not only a vital part of our fundraising efforts but it is also an excellent opportunity to give back to the community, increase corporate team rapport or improve employability in a rewarding, fun and relaxed way!
The street-activation roles would give volunteers the chance to connect with the community and better understand the effect that sudden and unexpected deaths in infants and children has. Individuals or groups of any size are encouraged to join in the excitement of Red Nose Day.
Red Nose places great importance on its fundraising initiatives and the support of the Australian community, with Red Nose Day being the biggest national campaign we have ever held.
Annually, 3,200 Australian families experience the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child. This has to stop. Through world-class research, advocacy and education we passionately believe we can put an end to this.
Volunteer opportunities are available from Monday 25th June – Friday 29th June, if you would like to see a full list of sites/times we have permits to fundraise at please get in touch.
Melbourne CBD – all major train stations, Bourke Street Mall and various locations throughout the city.
Volunteers will sell Red Nose Day merchandise or take donations via a mobile donation device/collection tin.
