Instead of giving handouts, our partner invests in farmers to generate a permanent gain in farm income. They provide farmers with a ‘service bundle’ that includes education, finance, seed and fertiliser and market facilitation. Their programme has had a positive impact.
Over the last couple of years, they have grown rapidly and are currently seeking volunteers to support them in 3 roles.

They are looking to change audit firms and in readiness for this are seeking as volunteer well- versed in applying GAAP and assessing an organisation’s policies and procedures specifically for internal control over financial reporting (ICOFR).
You will review their accounting policies to identify appropriateness and related gaps and propose changes required to update the policies/ close the gaps. You will also use a risk based approach to assess the policies and processes that relate to ICOFR (including ITGC/ERM).
Periodic Reporting
They are seeking a finance professional with management accounting or finance operation experience, specifically with closing financial reports for external and internal reporting.
Your role will include supporting the finance team to close the periods (monthly and quarterly) by performing reconciliations of the key financial statement captions. Annual audit file preparation
They are seeking a pro bono auditor with account reconciliation experience and advance MsExcel skills to support them with their annual audit file preparation for major accounts across 9 countries.
Your role will include building audit file support for each business service account bottom up, extracting and analysing relevant data from a large volume of information downloaded from their bespoke CRM application, using Excel and clearly documenting the processes related to the reconciliations performed such that these can be used to upskill their team of accountants.
