Seeing Eye Dogs Administration Volunteer

The volunteer will:
• perform administration tasks and office duties (e.g. data entry and collection, filing, scanning, creation of documents, coordinating rosters accurately and in a timely manner) to ensure operations run smoothly
• complete required data recording tasks to accurately record information about your volunteering activities

The volunteer may:
• communicate effectively with clients to understand and respond to their needs by face-to-face, email or telephone
• convert files, reformat printed materials, proofread documents – adhering to Vision Australia’s recommended accessibility guidelines
• communicate effectively with the business (staff and other individuals) to understand and respond to their needs by face-to-face, email or telephone
• perform sighted guide techniques to effectively support clients, volunteers or staff to safely navigate their environment
• be required to attend meetings that assist with planning and information provision
• perform money handling/ EFTPOS transaction, donation collection and banking duties, as well as support with any raffle ticket and event sales to ensure all transactions of cash and electronic sales are processed correctly (when required)
• be alert to the possibility of theft at all times
