About the role
Sands exists to ensure no parent in Australia feels alone and without hope after the death of their baby. We’re an organisation built on a community of people who mutually support each other and provide a sense of understanding in a time when that seems impossible.
The Services Volunteer supports the Regional Lead in ensuring that Sands is able to effectively deliver all its Support Services to bereaved families across the region.
Key activities include supporting the current network of Group Facilitators, identify new areas to develop new Support Groups, support Group Facilitators with the setting up of new Groups and work with the Services Team to support the recruitment, training and induction of new Group Facilitators.
The Services Volunteer reports directly to the Regional Lead and also works closely with the General Manager Services to ensure delivery of Sands Services Plan. The role will also work closely with other Regional Services Volunteers.
