About the role

Loneliness is a big problem for a lot of people. We aim to free people from loneliness. This task is enormous.

Which is why we’d love your help.

We are seeking two enthusiastic part-time Social Media Coordinators, who are passionate about making a positive difference, community building and growing brands on social media.

Are you a seasoned social media specialist, keen to apply your experience to a not-for-profit organisation that’s committed to freeing Australians from loneliness? Or currently studying social media or content marketing and keen to put the theory you’ve learned into real world practice?

Either way, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re on the hunt for two energetic, enthusiastic and empathetic social media gurus (or up and coming stars) to look after our B2B and B2C social media accounts. You’ll be highly familiar with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn and you’ll be a creative and empathetic soul and a solid copywriter with a strong attention to detail and ability to think outside of the square.

You’ll understand the importance of following a robust content marketing strategy and you’ll have a passion for following (perhaps even creating) and implementing the latest relevant social media trends to facilitate growth across all social channels. You’ll also have a penchant for cultivating a solid content library and growing social communities via empathetic engagement and compelling content.

The Social Media Coordinator role is a volunteer position, so we are more than happy to work around your availability. At this stage, we’d love you to contribute 2 – 4 hours of your time per week (open to negotiation). Your valuable time will be spent on copywriting, image curation (or receipt of images /content from other team members), scheduling posts and engagement. You will have your own reliable computer and smart phone (incl reliable internet access). Since you’ll be working from home / home office, we will happily accept applications from all over Australia.

You will work with one of our Board Members, who will nurture you through the process and expectations from day one. Together, you’ll continue to grow the Friends for Good brand by delivering the 2019/20 social content strategy. It’s an exciting time to join the team!

EXTENDED DEADLINE! Applications close 5pm (AEST) Friday 28th June 2019.
