Sponsorship Officer

About the role

We are looking to recruit a new volunteer with sponsorship experience (non profit or corporate) to join our team as Sponsorship Officer.

Commitments:

● Time: 3 hours/wk (increases around events)

● Term: 1 year (with possibility of extension)

● Regular meetings: I will attend at least 75% of Sub-Committee meetings, held every two months on Zoom in the evening with volunteers around Australia.

Duties/Responsibilities:

● Approach businesses/organisations to sponsor events and PDI’s program streams.

● Fostering partnerships with corporate or social enterprise sponsors

● Update the Sponsorship Prospectus as needed

● Regularly update current sponsors with PDI’s progress in Swaziland and maintain open lines of communication

● Work with the Fundraising Coordinators around event sponsorship, Marketing Officer to produce the best materials/pitch packs/reports and the Treasurer for financial transparency

Key attributes:

● Passion for PDI and understanding of our ethos

● Non profit sponsorship or corporate sponsorship experience (desirable)

● Organisational skills

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Professionalism
