About the Role
As NSW’s largest independent festival for music, comedy, visual and performing arts, the Sydney Fringe Festival offers volunteers a unique experience to view behind the scenes and work alongside professionals within the creative arts sector.
Volunteering is a great opportunity to support the Sydney Fringe Festival as well as to gain experience in being actively involved in exhibition, venue assistance, events, and arts administration.
Celebrating our eighth year, this much-loved festival is set to feature over 300 shows across 50 venues. A multi-disciplinary cultural event, we are an open-access festival and offer emerging and professional artists a unique platform to present their work in an environment of artistic freedom.
A large part of the success of the festival lies with our volunteers who give their time so generously throughout the festival period. We are calling for volunteers to assist with the operation and delivery of the festival, from 1st to 30th September, 2017
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who would like to become involved in Sydney’s creative arts and cultural sector or gain experience in the entertainment sector, and meet some new friends!
Positions are available in the areas of Box Office, Front of House and Event Management. All applications are welcome.
Volunteer information sessions will be held at either our Newtown office or Festival Hub in the weeks leading up to the 2017 Sydney Fringe Festival Festival.
