Hear For You is seeking three new Director roles for Hear For You. Hear For You is growing and requires an injection of additional Board skills, attributes and competencies to take us to the next level.

Hear For You, based in the Australian Hearing Hub at Macquarie University in Sydney NSW, is an Australian medium-sized charity that empowers deaf and hard of hearing teenagers to reach their full potential in life. Recent milestones include appointment to the government’s hearing health sector committee to drive the hearing health roadmap for all Australians; developing a world-first chat bot for deaf teenagers as well as a world-first virtual mentoring world, League of Hearoes, inside Minecraft. 

We have grown from a small charity in 2008 with one mentoring program in NZ, NSW, Qld, Vic and WA to a medium-sized charity with four programs that align with NDIS and are offered in remote, regional and urban locations in Victoria, Queensland and NSW. We offer a matrix of flexible, portable customer-centric online and face-to-face programs that match our teenagers and families’ availability and level of needs.

We currently have four Directors on the Board with a minimum of four to more than 10 years. As part of our future direction and good governance, we are seeking to grow the Board and add new board skills and more strategic alignment for the next 10 years.
