What is the MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer?
Two days. 200 kilometres. Spoke to spoke and pedal to pedal. The MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer® benefiting Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research is for anyone who wants to challenge themselves for a great cause.
Why volunteering with us?
Volunteers contribute their time, skills and creativity to bring The MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer® to fruition. Volunteers help at outreach events and fundraisers, support at training rides and help us to produce the powerful Opening Ceremony and finish line. Volunteering is a great way to make a difference whether you are a registered participant or not.
What will be my role?
Traffic Troopers – Do you love wearing Hi-Vis and waiving an orange flag? If so, this position is perfect for you! We are looking for a traffic and safety team to support participants and spectators with event parking and flow. Main responsibilities of this role are to help ensure all punters are entering and exciting the event site safely. No prior experience necessary! A staff member will be on hand to lead and support this team with parking and event flow initiatives. A great opportunity to speak with many participants and ensure the event site is flowing safely and smoothly. Low impact and need to be stern with directions!
Shifts:
Friday 12th of October, 2pm – 6.30pm
And/or
Saturday 13th of October, 5am – 9am
And/or
Sunday 14th of October 11am – 4pm
