About the role
BirdLife Western Australia is part of Birdlife Australia, a not-for-profit organisation which is dedicated to achieving outstanding conservation results for our native birds and their habitats.
We are seeking a Treasurer who will be responsible to the Executive Committee for:
- Financial reporting.
- Preparation of annual budgets,
- Cashflow management, and
- Managing our investments.
The Executive Committee through the Chair is responsible to the CEO and Board of BirdLife Australia.
The Treasurer will be required to present the financial results to the Annual General Meeting of members.
Birdlife Australia uses NetSuite Accounting software.
We are looking for applications from those with strong financial skills and Ideally have had exposure to:
- Management reporting
- Investment management
- Strategic planning
We have a bookkeeper who maintains the accounts.
The Treasurer will be expected to attend the monthly Committee meetings held on the second Monday of each month at 5:30pm.
A Police clearance certificate will be required, and costs reimbursed.
