About the role
The Kariong Neighbourhood Centre services the community of Kariong NSW. The Board currently has 6 members and as a succession plan we seek a Treasurer who will be able to fulfil the role in the future.
The Centre has a finance officer who handles the day to day finances and reports to the Board on a monthly basis. The Treasurer oversees the finances and makes recommendations to the Board as to the financial health of the Centre.
The Centre receives funding from the Department of Community and Justice but also from the Before and After School care program which assists in financing the community services.
About the organisation
The Kariong Neighbourhood Centre services the community of Kariong NSW. The Centre engages in community related programs including a Before and After School Care Service, Mental Health program, Baby Health service 2 days per week, SecondBite Food Relief and other various community services.
The Centre operates with paid staff and volunteers, particularly in relation to the SecondBite program.
The Board and Management have agreed a Strategic Plan going forward for the next 3 years which considers expansion of programs and geography.
