About the role

Treasurer responsibilities include participation in working groups and subcommittees, and
contact with financial institutions. Hours involved approx. 12 per week.
Other opportunities could include liaison with government funding partners, and serving on
(and possibly chairing) the Building Subcommittee of the AOC.

Organisation name : Lightning Ridge Opal and Fossil Centre Inc
The Australian Opal Centre (AOC) at Lightning Ridge is constructing a world class, not-for profit cultural centre funded by community and three levels of government. The AOC is managed by Lightning Ridge Opal and Fossil Centre Incorporated (LROFC), an organisation established in 2000. Annual turnover in 2019-20 was $2.68 million including trading revenue, donations and capital works. Annual turnover during construction of the new AOC is expected to exceed $10,000,000. LROFC is progressing towards transition to a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee in late 2021/early 2022.
