About the role

The Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre Inc is seeking a person with a background in business, Accounting or financial management, to hold the position of Treasurer on the voluntary Committee of Management. This person would be nominated for this role on the Committee which will be elected at the Annual General Meeting to be held at 7.30 on 19 March 2018. The Committee of Management is elected for a term of one year, when all members may be re-nominated. Experience and/or qualifications in organisational leadership, accounting, business finance and/or human resources would all be useful. The Treasurer would be expected to liaise closely with the organisation’s Finance Officer who works 45 hours per fortnight, and would be expected to attend meetings of the Committee of Management once a month throughout the year. Attendance at the Community Centre for a few hours a month in order to liaise with the Finance Officer would also be advantageous.
