About the role

The Lab Network provides administrative and governance support for a network of computer clubs for young people with autism. (https://thelab.org.au) The Lab commenced in 2011 with a single venue in Melbourne and has grown to over twenty venues around Australia that in 2108 engaged over 1000 young people 10 -16 yrs in over 800 technology mentoring sessions.
The Lab program aims to improve life outcomes for a disadvantaged sector of our community who often fall through the cracks in the mainstream education system and experience low rates of vocational engagement. The Lab aims to increase a young persons capacity for social engagement within a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages interests in technology and gaming.

The Lab Network board is seeking a volunteer treasurer to support the board with financial expertise. The Lab Network board currently comprises a wide range of skilled professionals from the technology, disability services and education sectors, along with Lab venue representation. We are seeking the
volunteer services of a treasurer to manage financial reporting, periodic invoicing and engagement as an active board member. The Lab Network derives revenue from subscriptions and philanthropic support.
