Treasurer/Bookkeeper/Accountant type person

Ride4Life is an incorporated not for profit in Victoria. We run motorcycle rides and have bikes as a focal point around raising awareness of mental health issues and suicide prevention. We ran our first ride in March this year in Bendigo and raised over $6000 for Lifeline.

We are planning on a week long ride in November which will travel Victoria in support of Dairy Farmers with the focus on raising awareness of mental health and suicide prevention.

We have only been established since January this year and have a small membership base of around 30. Our current vice president has accounting skills and is currently doing the books in Quickbooks. However, he also does our website and emails and the online event registrations so it is very time consuming for him. We have no-one in our Treasurer’s position on the committee at present and are desperately seeking someone to assist with this role.

Our plan is to extend our operations beyond Victoria and this presents a few challenges with registrations, business names etc.

It is not envisaged that this position will be terribly onerous in terms of time. If you are a rider you would probably enjoy this position more. Many of our members have lived experience of mental health issues and we look after each other both on and off the road. If you have a lived experience of mental health or suicide then you will also find the group very welcoming.

Obviously because you will potentially have access to bank accounts we will require a full resume and details of experience.
