About the role
Our partner supports and empowers rural communities through education and livelihood improvement programmes.
Their model is to respond to the needs of the communities who inform them of the specific issues they are facing and programmes are then structured around these discussions. They are working with 20 villages mounting to around 2000 people of all ages.
You will be the first AfID volunteer and will be conducting an internal review of their systems, policies and controls. You will be making recommendations for best practice and helping to install a robust and effective system. You will be providing staff training as necessary, based on your implementations. They are a growing organisation with multiple projects and are seeking a better system to track and monitor project and organisation-wide finances. They also need support presenting financial information in funding proposals to support this growth.
