About the role
Nominations are currently being sought to join the Baringa Childcare Centre Board of Directors, a unique opportunity to provide your expertise to influence the strategic direction of an organisation with a rich history in early childhood education and care. As a pivotal part of the community, Baringa has been caring for generations of families for over 35 years.
Baringa is an incorporated association operating under a Constitution and governed by the Associations Incorporation Act 1991 (ACT). The association operates using a Board of Directors who are required to hold a class of membership of the Baringa Association. The organisation is a registered charity, with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), with a gross total income of approximately $3 million per annum.
The organisation is seeking nominations from community leaders and representatives with expertise in financial, legal, education, governance, education and inclusive service delivery. The Board aims to be comprised of Directors with a diverse range of views and expertise, intertwined with a common commitment to enhancing the education and care of the most important members of our community – our children.
