About the role
The Salvation Army is dedicated to fighting the epidemic of youth homelessness and ensuring young people on the streets, couch surfing, sleeping in cars or sleeping it rough are given a chance to change their situations around.
The Salvos are given the privilege of selling candle bags at the Woolworths Carols in the Domain. Candle bags are filled with donated family treats and candles to help you enjoy the night. The funds raised go toward our work in youth homelessness, but we need volunteers, an Army of Volunteers to help us pack the candle bags!
We need to pack over 8000 bags and we need all the help we can get. We currently have the available shifts available:
Tuesday, 13 November (12.45 – 4pm)
Friday, 16 November (8.45am – 12pm)
