Volunteer Auditor for small not-for-profit organisation

Spinal Home Help is a volunteer, not-for-profit organisation based in Moorooka, Brisbane, and is a registered charity with DGR status. We are seeking a volunteer qualified accountant who would be willing to donate their time, or assist us at a greatly reduced rate, to conduct an audit of the last two years of our financial records (financial years ending on 30 June 2016, and 30 June 2017). The Australian Charity and NonProfit Commission has requested we do this as we held a large fundraiser recently and they would like to make sure everything is above board.

SHH has reconciled accounts available for this work so there will be minimal accounting work actually required – it will mostly be straightforward auditing of our records. SHH is a support organisation for people with spinal cord injury and their loved ones, offering a range of services, support groups and activities throughout the year to provide information and peer mentoring for our clients, as well as raising awareness of spinal cord injury and prevention in the wider community.
