TVW proposes to build 7 Sleeping Cabins to provide safe, supported, short to medium term accommodation for local people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
TVW REQUIRES A COMMITTED VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR to achieve our goals of developing community support for the organisation and our future Village Residents.
SEE our Facebook page ‘Transition Village Wallan’ go to ‘Files’ for further Background Information and a full role description for the Volunteer Coordinator. Call our CEO for further information.
Responsibilities: Development and management of our Volunteer program. TVW is based on community participation in all aspects of the project: committee, strategic planning, design, building, fundraising, among other activities. The Volunteer Coordinator would be responsible for the development of the Volunteer Program from the ground up, in partnership with the CEO and Executive Committee.
Previous experience in volunteer or personnel management would be wonderful but our principle criteria involves looking for people who are enthusiastic about developing a resilient community using local volunteers, and the ability to understand the role of volunteering and are able to develop a program which is active and produces the results needed to move the TVW project to completion.
