About the role
The Haven Day Centre is a not-for-profit charity that has been operating in the Boronia area for 35 years. The Haven is a dementia specific respite centre that provides a warm Christian environment meeting the needs of people living with memory loss by delivering a person centre program in a warm, friendly and inclusive environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
A volunteer directors’ position has become available on the Board of The Haven and the Board are seeking interest from people who have a passion to support the work of our charity. The position involves a commitment to four board meetings a year with the flexibility to attend any special meetings called. Knowledge and experience in the Aged Care industry, dementia or previous experience as a director. Professionals are encouraged to apply with specific skill sets that would enhance the governance of The Haven.
