About the Role
About the role
At least two volunteer secondary school teachers are required in Kiribati. The greatest need exists in Senior English and Science classes. It is hoped that those who apply also have the experience that will enable them to support and develop appropriate organisational systems within the schools, mentor local teachers and provide professional development in areas that assist to extend existing capacities.
Palms Australia is looking to place three volunteer teachers; an English teacher, a science teacher and an economics teacher. We will help the successful volunteers to build on tried and true approaches to working cross-culturally. We will prepare them to build relationships and identify the existing strengths of local teachers.
