About the role

Become a Volunteer English Tutor now and make a huge difference to your local community

The Melbourne Adult Migrant English Program AMEP through the Volunteer Tutor Scheme is recruiting Volunteer Tutors to support newly arrived refugees and migrants practice English skills and settle into life in Australia.

Tutors meet with their students at a convenient time each week for 1-2 hours, either in the home or in a public space such as the local library. The program is very flexible and highly rewarding for both the tutor and student alike!

No qualifications necessary, you must be reasonably fluent in English and be willing to undertake a Police and Working With Children Check.

Free training is provided.  It is very informative and engaging.
