About the Role

Be part of an international event, volunteer for The Sydney International Rowing Regatta, held from 19th March – 25th March 2018! It’s a great chance to get outdoors, meet some amazing people and see some of the best rowers in the world!

Event Information
The Sydney International Rowing Regatta (SIRR) is Australia’s premier rowing event. It will be back again Sydney from the 19th March to the 25th March 2018 for another year of quality rowing.
You will be treated to a showcase of some of the best Australian rowing and para-rowing, be it in the Australian Open Rowing Championships, Australian Open Schools Rowing Championships and the King’s and Queen’s Cups Interstate Regatta.

It’s a great chance to get outdoors, meet some amazing people and see some of the best rowers in the world!

Dates: 19thMarch – 25th March 2018
Location: Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC), Old Castlereagh Road, Castlereagh, NSW 2749 (Penrith Area) Free shuttle available from and to Penrith Train station

Shifts: Early morning, morning and afternoon shifts available!

Volunteer Roles

We have various positions available including:
• Drivers – Be responsible of driving a cart to deploy volunteers to their positions. Assist event managers on site.
• Printing distribution coordinator – Be responsible of results communication
• Spectator Services – Be the face of the event! provide information, check accreditations and entry ticketing
• Time keeper – Essential and exciting role – Be responsible of the chronometers!
• Victory Pontoon Assistant – assist the athletes on the victory pontoon to receive their medals

• Official volunteer uniform including shirt, cap, drink bottle and bag
• Food and drink and free parking during your shift
• The experience of volunteering at an amazing event

• Free entry to watch the Regatta on the day you’re volunteering
