The National Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Helpline provides telephone counselling, risk assessment and support for families across Australia. We are seeking passionate and skilled counsellors committed to the emotional and mental wellbeing of expecting and new parents to join our team based in North Fitzroy, Melbourne.
Perinatal Anxiety & Depression are common and serious mental health concerns. Left untreated, the impact can be devastating for individuals, infant and the family unit. The National Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Helpline provides a space for parents struggling with the transition to parenthood or experiencing acute mental health crisis (and anything in between) to access free telephone counselling, specialist information, support, risk management and referrals.
If you want to make a difference and have the skills to provide specialist support and counselling for families, this might be the job for you. We are looking for passionate and experienced counsellors with qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related field. This role involves regular daytime (Mon- Fri, 9.00am-4.30pm) and evening (Mon- Fri, 12.30pm-8.00pm) shifts.
