This high-profile and well regarded not for profit organisation has been in existence for over 50 years. House with No Steps (HWNS) coaches, assists and employs people with a disability across the eastern seaboard. This is a pivotal appointment for HWNS as it engages in the new world created by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The role will involve transforming the organisation in terms of both business process and technology platforms. This transformation, a key element of the organisation’s future ready strategy will have business-wide impact. The CTO will lead all the technology-enabled initiatives that will fundamentally change the way the organisation operates. You will be accountable for championing, developing and implementing an advanced and integrated technology approach across all areas of the organisation. Whilst you will have responsibility for the “run” aspect of IT the key outcome of the role is ensuring you have planned and delivered an environment that is sustainable and positioned the organisation for growth.
First and foremost a values-based individual, you will bring to this role a strong customer and business focus. Your background in leading change encompassing technology delivery will position you well for this opportunity. Your capacity to make the links between business processes, people needs and emerging IT platforms will be well utilised in this role. Your interpersonal style, in engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders, is underpinned by your listening skills and a high degree of empathy. You are prepared to question and challenge in a respectful manner.
