About the opportunity
We are seeking a CEO who will bring strong leadership experiene and highly developed strategic skills to lead a close knit team and its members through the next chapter of change within the sector. These changes will create enormous opportunities and requires an innovative and entrepreneurial leadership style.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
- Provide the strategic direction and the vision for the future
- Be an influencer, advocate and voice of the sector
- Foster a collaborative culture with the team and membership base
- Develop good working relationships with State and Federal Governments and relevant bodies within the sector
- Build effective partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ensure governance compliance and manage the P&L
- Liaise effectively and collaboratively with Board Members
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this key role you will bring the following skills and experience with you:
- Tertiary qualified to degree/ post graduate level
- A strong understanding of mental health services system in Victoria and the national agenda
- A deep understanding of the impact of mental illness on individuals, families and the community
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level acquired within a diverse NFP organisation or similar
- Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial edge
- Experience in policy development.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills
- Strong influencing skills
- Demonstrated media experience highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in vocational training sector valued
