OzChild’s purpose is to support vulnerable children and young people by providing healing, preventing abuse and neglect and strengthening families. OzChild delivers a range of diverse services aimed at improving life opportunities for children and young people including fostercare, kinship care, family services, education, disability and family law services.
OzChild provides Family Services to a number of vulnerable families in the Bayside Peninsula and Southern Melbourne areas. Many of the families are referred to us by Child Protection and have a history of trauma. Our intervention is child centred and family focused and works to ensure the best interests of the child is met.
The worker will work in our Intensive Therapeutic Support Program which receives referrals from Family Solutions Child First Bayside Peninsula, Families First and Together Again Program which receive referrals from Child Protection. (refer to Position Description for further details).
