About the role

The Quest for Life Foundation provides practical skills and strategies for people to create peace and resilience in their lives. The Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, founded by Petrea King and dedicated to inspiring wellness in people living with depression, anxiety, grief, loss, cancer, chronic illness, trauma and PTSD. Quest runs evidence based intensive educational residential programs at its Centre in Bundanoon and workshops in rural, regional and metropolitan areas around Australia, to empower people with the tools and skills to confidently face their challenges and create resilience and peace in their lives. People leave our programs with practical strategies for living well in challenging circumstances and for finding meaning in the midst of life’s unexpected events. Since 1989 the Foundation has supported over 110,000 people.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate fundraiser to join our team and increase our fundraising revenue streams to support people on low incomes and pensions to attend our life changing programs. Critical tasks in this role will include:
* Developing and implementing an effective fundraising strategy to support organisational growth.
* Developing and stewarding relationships with high net worth individuals in conjunction with the Board and CEO.
* Identifying and securing new corporate partnerships that align with the philosophy of the Quest for Life Foundation.
* Identifying and securing Government and Trust and Foundation grants.
* Implementing a donor relationship strategy to strengthen relationships with current donors and grow donor database.
* Increasing community fundraising income streams.
* Developing and implementing an effective strategy to increase Payroll Giving income.
* Managing and growing annual appeals revenue.

To be successful in this role you will need the following attributes:
* A strong track record of building and implementing successful fundraising strategies.
* Experience in negotiating and stewarding corporate sponsorships.
* Current motor vehicle licence.
* Enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude and an ability to work in an NFP environment.
* Knowledge and passion for the work of the Quest for Life Foundation.
* A sense of humour whilst being sensitive to the ethos of the Foundation.
* A team player and the ability to work autonomously when required.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and experience in presenting new business pitches to clients.
* Highly competent computer skills in word, powerpoint, excel, outlook.
* At least 5 years experience in a similar position.
