About Give a Care:
Give a Care is a new Melbourne bayside-based disability service provider supporting people of all ages who have a disability. Give a Care’s founder, Jeff Shaw, has a disability and sees the need to do things differently for the benefit of the people we employ and the people we support. We are looking for a skilled, innovative individual to join us in expanding our programs within the context of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

About the position:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Implement a strategic approach to media, brand, and communication activities that fulfils Give a Care brand aspirations and strategic goals,
  • Position Give a Care’s vision, mission, achievements and key messages effectively both internally and externally via the most effective channels, and
  • Provide professional support to ensure Give a Care’s media, brand, communications, public relations and revenue objectives are met.

Give a Care is a small business and currently only employ staff on a casual basis meaning applicants will need to have a degree of flexibility. As we grow, develop and find our place in the ever-changing disability sector, hours may increase up to the maximum hours you wish to work.

To be successful in this role, you will possess: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, public relations or related discipline
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the communications and marketing field
  • Media management experience, with demonstrated results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated experience leveraging digital channels
  • Relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop communication and marketing policy, procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to think innovatively and strategically and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • High-level MS office skills
  • Must satisfy all visa working requirements for working in Australia
