About CanTeen

We get it. Just when life should be full of possibilities, cancer crashes into a young person’s world and shatters everything. CanTeen is the game changer.

CanTeen is a national support organisation for 12 – 25 year olds who cope with cancer in their family. Through CanTeen, they learn to explore and deal with feelings about cancer, connect with other young people in the same boat and if they have been diagnosed themselves, we also provide specialist, youth specific treatment teams.

No matter which role you are in, working for CanTeen is a chance to support young people rebuilding the foundations that crumbled beneath them when cancer turned their world upside down.

You can be the difference.

These services are complemented with a number of national priority projects including research, datasets, network development, professional development and awareness raising. Also commencing will be an exciting new initiative funded by the Federal Government that will see the establishment of a nationally coordinated approach to clinical trials for young cancer patients: The Australian Young Cancer Patient Clinical Trials Initiative.

The Data and Clinical Trial Officer will support the development and implementation of key YCS programs of work, specifically relating to the national data and clinical trials initiatives, and contribute to achieving the YCS objectives.
